Week 5 may have been known more for near-upsets (Tennessee, Arkansas) than teams actually pulling off the shockers (Mizzou), but it was still endlessly exciting. Unless you're a Wyoming fan, I suppose.

Now that was a weekend of match-ups, right? A solid Week 4 slate on paper turned into an even better one on the field, with nail-biting close games from the country's top teams -- Oregon and Florida State, and even Bama and Oklahoma to a degree -- and a marquee upset, thanks to Mississippi State.

So how does one make sense of all the bloodshed? Why, with The College Football Podcast Week 4 recap, of course.

Week 4 is upon us, and with it the glory of conference play; for the most part, anyway. The boys preview that and more, with a focus on the rather impressive highlights -- Clemson-Florida State, Auburn-Kansas State, Oklahoma-West Virginia, and the like.

Expected to be one of the lighter weeks of the year, match-up-wise, Week 3 turned into the Saturday of upsets . . . two of them, anyway.

Look, Week 3 may be light on the must-see match-ups, sure. But you've still got Georgia @ South Carolina. You've still got Tennessee @ Oklahoma. You've still got UCLA @ Texas. You've got college football! No small thing when looking back to the barren wasteland of mid-April.

College football's second week in the books, and the season already has its signature playoff-impacting win, Oregon having knocked off Michigan State in a battle of top 10 teams.

In celebration, the boys recap the week that was, from that Oregon-Michigan State clash of the titans to the week's big upsets -- Va Tech over Ohio State, USC over Stanford -- and everything in between.
