Look, no; Week 8 is not a great schedule of games. But you know what's worse? The middle of May.

Well, it's official: The 2015 college football season is halfway over. I mean, presuming you don't count the week that solely contains Army-Navy. (We don't.) Naturally, the season's going exactly how we thought it would be at this juncture. Florida and Utah in the playoff? Who didn't have that?

Today, the boys preview the season's midpoint action, a pretty strong slate from top (Bama-A&M, LSU-Florida) to bottom (something involving Kansas or North Texas, I s'pose). Enjoy.

It was a tumultuous Week 6 for teams and coaches alike, notably Oregon and Oklahoma and, very much especially, Steve Sarkisian and Randy Edsall. So how do you make sense of the craziness?

Back in August, would you have guessed that Northwestern-Michigan would be the Week 6 game with the biggest playoff ramifications? Us too.

With time restrictions this week, today's preview of Week 4 was recorded two days in advance. In theory not a big deal, but then in theory Jeremy Johnson wouldn't get benched, Cardale Jones wouldn't return as the starter, and Myles Jack wouldn't be ruled out for the season. I say again: ugh.

All that being said, no predictions change. Auburn is still inept on offense, Ohio State is still playing Western Michigan, and Myles Jack's absence certainly isn't going to make UCLA's D better. That's pertinent for one of your co-hosts, anyway.

A day late, but not a dollar short. Several dollars richer, in fact. At least.
