Merry Christmas! If you're Pitt, you got yourself a new coach. Salud. Everyone else, you'll have to make do with The College Football Podcast's festive offering: a rundown of the remaining bowl games, less the New Year's Six.

Eggnog, spiral-sliced ham and a breakdown of Reilly O'Toole and the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl. What more could you possibly hope for? Oh, you wanted Canada to guess what each of the bowl sponsors actually does in the business world? Got that too.

Note: If it wasn't clear, this was recorded before Pitt hired the Nard dog. Adjust your reactions accordingly.

Your patience is paying off: bowl season is upon us!

Louisiana Lafayette and Nevada get things underway Saturday morning in the New Orleans Bowl and it only gets better from there, as Utah State meets UTEP, Utah dances with Colorado State, Western Michigan takes on Air Force, and South Alabama undertakes the Bowling Green quagmire. And that's just Saturday!

The boys preview all those, plus five more pre-Christmas games, and offer up their takes on the best and worst match-ups of the first-week slate. And they rave about Popeyes.

Rivalry Week is in the books, and the boys discuss that Stanford upset of the Bruins, Ole Miss's Egg Bowl upset, and plenty more, from the Civil War and Territorial Cup, to the Iron Bowl and the battle for Paul Bunyan's axe, and everything in between.

Plus, insight on the latest coaching musical chairs action, which saw Nebraska fire a coach, Buffalo hire one, and Wazzu and Auburn divest themselves of defensive coordinators.
